A new home for Eufloria

We’re in the middle of some pretty big and exciting changes at Eufloria right now. We’re bidding farewell to our much loved boutique in Flora Terrace, North Beach and setting up in a brand new custom studio and appointment office in nearby Trigg.

We’re currently in a flurry of designing, renovating and decorating; bustling around getting our new home ready. But rest assured its business as usual.

There won’t be too many changes for our customers - online ordering will remain the same, you can still reach us on the same phone number and we’ll be delivering fresh flowers daily just as we always have.

The biggest change is that we’ll no longer be able to take walk-ins. But all you have to do is email or call to make a time to pop in for a chat.

We will be posting some pics of our lovely new studio and office once it's all looking pretty!

In the meantime it's head down and cutters away as we head into a bumper wedding season with the most beautiful weddings we will be creating and styling.

xx

Whilst on our annual break and traveling the globe I sure have seen many a wonderful sight in each and every of the 9 countries I have been lucky enough to visit.
Some quirky, some historical, some "terry touristy" and some romantic. This blog post falls into the romantic category!
Paris is without doubt the most romantic city! For those yet to visit words fail to describe it adequately.
Whilst touring the city by foot we came across the 2 lock bridges, quite close to our hotel on Pont de l'Archevch, a bridge between Notre-Dame Cathedral across to the Left Bank of the Seine. We then were able to view the bridges from the Siene, travelling under them by boat, the glittering little (and big) locks adorn the bridges and appear as if the are shimmering tinsel from afar, captured by the sunlight or the pale moonlight glow.
Romantic lovers seal their eternal love for each other by placing a lock on the bridge. It sure is a romantic sight to see. Will you take a lock along when you visit Paris? xx

It's official! We are sneaking off for our annual break!

It has been a busy, challenging, inspirational, rewarding and fun season of florals and styling. We have been blessed to have created lots of amazing weddings, gorgeous functions and everyday florals for some super wonderful people.

Today we finish of the season with a very elegant and impressive Bang! our lovely bride Bianca is tieing the knot with her handsome Groom Dale. We have been patiently waiting for this day to come, Bianca was so organised she had us booked and organised over a year ago, it seems so far away but time has sure flown by.
We shall be styling the ever so glamorous waterside Mosman's Restaurant with luscious whites and a touch of crisp garden greens.

Thank you for your constant support in our little shop. We look forward to seeing you all when we return fresh as a daisy on Monday 16th July 2012.

ps You are most welcome to email us during our break, we will attend to them on our return.

Vibrant colours in vogue for Autumn

As the cooler days and months decend and we start thinking that our cold winter is around the corner, never despair, there are always beautiful blooms for every season! And I must say that at Eufloria, autumn blooms have been gorgeous and have been a breath of fresh air for our weddings, events and special occasions!

The autumn blooms are beautiful, vibrant and can brighten up any occasion, rain, hail or shine! We think they will also be a popular choice for celebrating Mother's Day on 13 May!

Our autumns are characterized by the changing colors and synonymous with us witnessing leaves turning a rich oranges, bronzes and reds... but many varieties of flowers just begin blooming! So, Rose and I thought we might share some of our favourite blooms for autumn;

Kiera's flower of autumn is:
HYACINTH
The flower of the season for me! The purple, blue, mauve shades are amazing but you can't go wrong with white, pink, yellow and red too! These are a bulbous plant with trumpet-shaped floret arranged tightly on leafless stalk. Hyacinths can be utilised as a cut flower, keep cool at all times and replace water every day. Their fragrance is delightful!

Rose's autumn bloom of choice is:
DELPHINIUM
These blooms are mainly of blue and mauve colouring, from the palest baby-blue to darkest indigo, they are also available in shades of pink and white. Delphiniums are a wonderful vase flower due to their vivid colours and their structure and height. Another favourite of the season for Eufloria!

Some other beautiful, vibrant blooms of the season are:
CRISTATA/Celosia
The Cristata (Cockscomb) have fan-shaped flower heads which resemble coral and they are commonly called 'brains' for this reason! I think the popular colour for the season is the vivid cerise, although it also comes in a gorgeous yellow too... these velvet blooms are a favourite of ours.

DAHLIA
Vibrantly coloured dahlias will brighten any room in your home or be certainly enjoyed by all in any office. The different varieties can be enjoyed in the pinks to purples shades; reds to maroons, oranges to yellows and white. These are in high demand for the wedding season!

LISIANTHUS
Lisianthus is a very popular cut flower and give extended pleasure of up to three weeks in a vase. Available in many colours including cream, green, pink, purple, white and yellow. These beauties sell out as soon as they hit the shop front so pre-ordering is a must!

GLORIOSA LILY
These are very popular due to the resemblance to the Tiger Lily. They are pinkish/red flowers with yellow-edged petals and they have long lasting vase life. Exotic and quite rare to see at the markets, they bring great delight to our flower bench when we find them and we always love including them in our arrangements when we are lucky enough to have them to use!

We love autumn blooms but I have to confess that every changing season is my favourite! With each new season, it's a promise of new beginnings and I always love the surprise of the arrival of fresh seasonal blooms at the markets on each trip I make!

I know I am spoilt to work with glorious fresh flowers every day, so whilst I can pick a bloom of each season ... an overall favourite bloom is very hard to pick... so, I have to sit on the fence and honestly say that my weakness is for anything fragrant! The smells of some of our beautiful blooms literally take me on a nostalgic journey to my Nan and Pop???s gorgeous garden.... which was just magic!

So, Rose and I want to know what blooms you love?... Do you have a favourite of the season... or what season do you most look forward to for your favourite blooms?
